English Language Course

This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the IELTS examination and how to prepare and practise for the assessment in a fun and proactive environment. It will help students improve both competence and confidence in their test-taking abilities, alongside allowing them to develop their academic English communication skills. In addition to working on the students’ writing style, the course introduces them to the basic elements of the IELTS exam, which many students will take before submitting an application to university.

The difference between IELTS at Maxer with others

IELTS comes in two versions: General and Academic. To ensure that all of our students to achieve the best results at the end of courses, we provide a free interview with each student to fully understand their current English level and requirements; and we will tailor courses with our Academic Managers for each group of students.

 

Over a period of two weeks, students identify, practise and improve the reading and writing skills that will be necessary in their future study. The course focuses on the specific requirements of formal and academic English, as opposed to the more informal English that many students may have studied to date.

Qualification of our teachers

Teachers on this EFL programme are native-level English speakers and all have at least 10 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree. Teachers are qualified according to British Council standards (CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent Level 5 TEFL qualification). Class sizes for morning and afternoon sessions are kept to a maximum of 15 students.
